Instructor Alejandro Chaoul, PhD, has trained with Tibetan lamas since 1989. He is an assistant professor at the McGovern Center for Health, Humanities, and the Human Spirit at The University of Texas Medical School at Houston and an adjunct assistant professor at The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, where he is involved in research using Tibetan mind-body techniques with cancer patients and where he facilitates meditation for cancer patients and their support systems.
